I take great pleasure in writing a letter of reference for Mrs. Kjaer Pedersen.
Over the many years I have known Mrs. Pedersen her record has been impeccable, her knowledge and experience unquestioned, and her capabilities as a teacher and leader have been inspirational. She is respected by both her colleagues and parents and the students truly adore her and show her great respect.
Mrs. Pedersen worked for many years as an art teacher at Mission Secondary School where she had an outstanding career. I had several opportunities to work with Kjaer at Mission Secondary School as her fellow colleague and then as her Vice-Principal. Mrs. Pedersen was instrumental in bringing Advanced Placement Art to her students and giving all students the opportunity to achieve greatness and continue on in life with an appreciation of art for all and a profession of art for many. Students felt challenged, valued and successful in Mrs. Pedersen’s classroom. The hallways of Mission Secondary were adorned with the most unique and meaningful art work that would often stop you in your tracks as you would feel the need to stop and regard the work. This pausing for art in a secondary school is quite a feat for a place so busy and bustling.
In regards to knowledge of curriculum, instruction and assessment, Mrs. Pedersen is a leader in ensuring that she used differentiated instruction, formative assessment and gave students every opportunity to excel at their own level. Mrs. Pedersen knows her practice well as she worked with a great diversity of students in many different situations, all in which she handled with ease, grace and a great passion for working with art and children.
She is an outstanding teacher, leader and a highly credible person with great pride in her work and genuine concern for her students. Mrs. Pedersen is an exceptionally hard worker who takes a great deal of pride and responsibility for a job well done.

RE: KJAER PEDERSEN
We had the great pleasure of having Ms Kjaer Pedersen design and oversee a “whole school” mural project for us last year at Kanaka Creek Elementary.
What a delight to see the 600 students and staff all engaged in working together to create a fantastic clay mural for our hallway. It is absolutely stunning! Kjaer interacted and coordinated with children in classes from Kindergarten to Grade 7 and inspired every child of every grade level to create a personalized tile fitting with the theme of the entire project.
Her management skills were excellent, her artistic skills so inspiring, her enthusiasm infectious and her learning outcomes amazing!!
I believe she would be an amazing addition to any school or learning community.
